Soccer Tournament Specialists is proud to be involved with some great organizations and glad to be able to help and donate cash contribution to Sport Support USA, San Diego Rady Children’s Hospital (Charity Cup) and Dechenne Muscular Dystrophy ( Kick for a cure).
SPORT SUPPORT
Sport Support (SS) is honored to be working with an organization such as Soccer Tournament Specialist to achieve its goals in collecting and donating retired soccer equipment to orphans and underprivileged children around the world. To date SS has created soccer opportunities for these children in Guatemala, Mexico, Ecuador and in Bagdad through a former local soccer player who is in the United States Army.
SS is always looking for avenues to distribute the gear it collects. If you know of an orphanage or group that could benefit from our program abroad, please let us know.
ABOUT SPORT SUPPORT
Sport Support (SS) is a program under "Athletes for Education" a Non-Profit organization. Founded in 2007 by Ronda McEwen, SS is dedicated to bring joy and opportunity to underprivileged children in North and Central America. SS’s commitment is to provide uniforms and equipment for Futbol programs to orphanages to aid in offering a healthy diversion for children who may have suffered atrocities in life such as abandonment, poverty and abuse.

From 2005-08, we were able to donate over $50,000 through tournament fees from the Children's Hospital CHARITY CUP.
Your Entry Fees have helped out so many Hospital Programs!! Rady Children’s Hospital is once again delighted to be the beneficiary of the Fourth Annual San Diego Charity Cup Soccer Tournament – a tournament where everybody wins!
The money raised through this tournament will help to support our Center for Healthier Communities, a leader in advancing community-based solutions to some of the most important health issues facing our children and youth today. Since its inception in 1996, the Center has developed major initiatives in the areas of maternal and infant health, child and adolescent safety, oral health, nutrition and healthy lifestyles and positive youth development; contributing to a reduction in the number of children suffering from preventable illnesses and injuries.

Kick for a Cure/ Dechenne Muscular Distrophy
For two years Kick for a Cure has operated as an event under the auspices of Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD), a national nonprofit organization education, and advocacy, the advances of which directly influence the well-being of children and families affected by DMD. Kick for a Cure is now the first ever San Diego based charity focused entirely on the Duchenne community an all proceeds raised at Kick for a Cure thus far have exclusively benefited PPMD.
WHAT IS DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY (DMD)?
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is the most prevalent of all the muscular dystrophies.
DMD is also the most common lethal genetic disorder diagnosed during childhood today.
DMD is a progressive muscle disorder diagnosed in childhood. It causes weakening of ALL the muscles in the body.
Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD) is a milder version of Duchenne. The course of Becker is slower and less predictable than that of Duchenne.
